EXIF Data Viewer

Reads and displays the EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format) metadata embedded in JPEG, PNG, and other image files. EXIF data is written by cameras and smartphones at the time a photo is taken.

Common EXIF fields

FieldDescription
Camera make/modelManufacturer and model of the camera or phone
Date & timeWhen the photo was taken (based on camera clock)
GPS coordinatesLatitude/longitude if location was enabled
Aperture (f-stop)Lens opening, affects depth of field

Privacy note

Photos taken on smartphones typically embed GPS coordinates unless location access is disabled. Before sharing photos publicly, strip EXIF data to avoid revealing your location. This tool processes files locally in your browser, no image data is uploaded to a server.
