Privacy Policy

Overview

Awesome Toolkit is built with privacy by design. All tools run entirely in your browser. No personal data is transmitted to our servers during normal tool usage. We do not operate accounts or newsletters.

This site uses Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) for audience measurement, and Google AdSense for advertising. Both are activated only with your consent, managed through the cookie consent banner on your first visit.

Data We Do Not Collect

  • No registration data – no accounts, no email addresses.
  • No form submissions sent to our servers – all processing is client-side.
  • No fingerprinting or cross-site tracking on our part.

Consent Management

On your first visit, a consent banner (powered by Google's Privacy & Messaging) asks for your permission before any tracking or advertising cookie is set. You may accept or decline at any time. Your choice is stored in your browser and can be changed by clearing your cookies.

We implement Google Consent Mode v2: all tracking signals default to denied until you explicitly accept. No analytics or advertising data is collected before consent is granted.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

When you consent to analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager (container GTM-NS6SD89S) to measure audience and usage patterns. Data collected includes: pages visited, session duration, browser and device type, approximate geographic location (country/region level), and traffic source.

No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics. Data is processed by Google LLC under the terms of the Google Ads Data Processing Terms. You may opt out at any time via Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Google AdSense

When you consent to advertising, this site displays ads served by Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-5769021072525983). Google may use cookies and device identifiers to serve personalised ads based on your browsing history across sites.

You can manage your ad personalisation preferences at Google Ad Settings. Google's data practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Server Logs

Like any web server, OVH (our hosting provider) automatically records standard access logs: IP address, date/time, URL requested, browser user-agent, and HTTP status code. These logs are retained and processed by OVH for security and infrastructure purposes, in accordance with OVH's privacy policy. Marshkalk does not use these logs for profiling or marketing.

Local Storage

Several tools (budget planner, countdown timers, book tracker, blood pressure log, etc.) save data in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device – it is stored locally and can be cleared at any time via your browser settings. Marshkalk has no access to this data.

Cookies

Awesome Toolkit uses the following cookies:

  • Consent preference — stores your accept/decline choice for analytics and advertising. Set by Google's Privacy & Messaging. Duration: ~13 months.
  • Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) — audience measurement. Set only after consent. Duration: up to 2 years.
  • Google AdSense — ad serving and personalisation. Set only after consent. Duration: varies.

Your theme preference (dark/light mode) and UI states are stored in localStorage, not cookies.

Third-Party API Calls (Tool-Initiated)

Two tools make direct requests from your browser to third-party services. These requests are initiated by your browser, not our server:

  • DNS Lookup tool – queries Cloudflare DNS over HTTPS (cloudflare-dns.com). Cloudflare's privacy policy applies.
  • IP Info tool – queries ip-api.com to retrieve geolocation data for an IP address. ip-api.com's terms apply.
  • Currency Converter – queries open.er-api.com for live exchange rates. Their terms apply.

Marshkalk receives no data from these requests.

Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, and port your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. For data collected via Google Analytics or AdSense, the relevant controller is Google LLC — refer to Google's Privacy Policy and Google's data deletion tools.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority: CNIL – Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés.
