About Training Load
CTL (Chronic Training Load) is a 42-day exponentially weighted average of TSS – your long-term fitness. ATL (Acute Training Load) is a 7-day average – your short-term fatigue. TSB (Training Stress Balance) = CTL − ATL. Positive TSB means fresh/recovered; negative means fatigued. Race day form is best around TSB +5 to +25.
